I was talking to my friend Julie yesterday, and we were discussing how we both struggle with forgiving ourselves. I blame myself for so much, and I really need to work on not comparing myself to others. I have struggled with this for years, and I know I need to give myself a break and cut myself some slack once in a while. I've always been my biggest critic. I've been trying more Yoga (my awesome neighbor just opened a studio out of her home that I plan to go to soon) and I'm trying different things to help me let the past go and move on. I saw this quote on Pinterest and wanted to share:

I saw this quote on Pinterest and wanted to share: We can't control the cards we are dealt. All we can do is respond to it and move on. How did I move on from my gloomy day you ask? By buying a new teacher planner/gradebook on Etsy. No shame in that, right?

Add forgive yourself when you make mistakes and move forward. As teachers we often over think our choices.
