I've been very busy with our new curriculum lately. Since we have integrated Units of Study for Common Core, I have been a brand new teacher all over again! I've now realized that I've been a "first-year teacher" for a total of three years. That's 3/7 of my teaching career! I wouldn't have it any other way though.
I'm sorry for the lack of updates lately. Life has just been crazy! This week I have been on Fall Break and have been busy with house projects. I've somehow managed to completely avoid school-related projects and work...which I think is a first! I wish I had some amazing teaching ideas or tips to share with you today, but I am drawing a blank. Lately I've been trying to focus more on myself (which sounds strange). I've been trying to go to Yoga at least twice a week (which I completely missed this week due to house stuff). I've deleted my Facebook apps from my phone so that I am limited to only using FB on the computer, and I have rarely logged in-really only to update blog stuff. Doing just that alone feels like a huge weight has been lifted off of my chest. Seeing so many updates/announcements all of the time is just unnecessary for me right now. I've really just been trying to stay optimistic about everything and have been trying to focus on the good things in my life right now. When I start to feel like something is missing, I try and remind myself that good things will happen in time. I admit, not every day is easy these days. I know I have to cut myself some slack. But, things are looking up...I can feel it.
